The Food and Drug Administration (TFDA) of the Ministry of Health and Welfare of Taiwan and the National Directorate of Sanitary Surveillance (DINAVISA) of the Republic of Paraguay signed in the city of Taipei a General Collaboration Agreement.
Said agreement was signed by the general director of the TFDA, Wu Shou-mei; and the interim director of DINAVISA, Jorge Iliou Silvero, in the framework of the Global Forum on Health and Well-being in Taiwan.
Victor Hernán Martínez Acosta, Deputy Minister of Comprehensive Health Care and Social Welfare of Paraguay, and Li-Feng Lee, Deputy Minister of Health and Welfare, attended as witnesses of honor.

Likewise, senior officials from the Embassy of the Republic of Paraguay in Taiwan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs were present at the signing ceremony as special guests.
According to a statement from the Taiwanese Embassy in Paraguay, the objective of the agreement is to establish a cooperation framework under which the two health surveillance institutions will be able to exchange information and experiences related to issues of common interest, such as management and supervision procedures for medicines and medical equipment and good practices on laboratory capacities, in order to enrich and optimize the regulatory processes of each of the two parties, and deepen the friendship between both nations.
