Taiwan Culinary Expo 2024 kicks off in August

The 2024 Taiwan Culinary Expo will take place from August 2 to 5 at the Taipei World Trade Center, according to Taiwan’s Ministry of Agriculture (MOA).
The event is organized by the Taiwan Visitors Association (TVA) and aims to promote the nation’s food culture among foreign visitors.

Six hundred stalls highlight Taiwanese cuisine

The exhibition features 600 booths, from Michelin-starred restaurants, award-winning food and beverage brands, MOA-sponsored agricultural products and popular local restaurants.

In particular, Taiwan’s Ministry of Agriculture will showcase thirteen outstanding domestic producers. These include the winner of the sustainability category of the World Agricultural Tourism Award, the winner of the Japanese and British jam awards, and the winner of the International Taste Institute’s organic rose jam award.

Meanwhile, the Hakka Affairs Council (HAC) Ha-Food Pavilion will showcase Hakka products and has invited Chef Thomas Chien of his eponymous restaurant in Kaohsiung City to give a cooking demonstration, as well as other Hakka food producers working with a fusion of tradition and innovation.

As part of its efforts to promote sustainability, recyclable cutlery will be available throughout the four-day event, the TVA added.
