The Syrian air defense forces shot down an Israeli Army drone this Thursday around the city of Homs (center), according to state media and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, amid the increase in Israeli bombings against objectives in Syrian territory.
According to the Syrian state news agency SANA, the air defense forces have shot down a “hostile target” in Homs, after which the Observatory, based in London and informants in the Arab country, has indicated that the Syrian troops have managed to shoot down a reconnaissance drone near Auras.
Subsequently, SANA has reported on some explosions of unspecified origin in the surroundings of the capital, Damascus, without any details as to whether they are bombings or the firing of anti-aircraft defense systems in the area.
These incidents take place a day after at least 15 people, including several members of the security forces, were injured in an Israeli attack on the surroundings of the city of Qusair, near the border with Lebanon.
