Nintendo released its most recent financial report a few hours ago. Thanks to this, we know that Switch is still maintaining its healthy pace of sales and that its games are still selling like hot cakes. The updated figures reveal that the hybrid console has already sold 114.33 million units until last September 30.
This means that the company sold 3.25 million units of its console during the last quarter. It revealed that, despite this, it sold 19.2% fewer systems during the first 6 months of the current fiscal year. This compared to the same period last fiscal year.
He explained that this is largely due to the shortage of semiconductors, whose production and supply are not yet fully regularized. As a consequence, Nintendo decided to lower its sales forecast by 9.8%. Which means he now expects to sell 19 and not 21 million consoles in this fiscal year, as he had previously revealed. Nintendo hopes to reach said mark by March 2023.
