Madrid Jan 30 (Europa Press) –
The Sweden government has announced the future sending a new help package for Ukraine valued at about 13.5 billion Swedish crowns (just over 1,176 million euros), the largest amount from the outbreak of the war after the Russian military invasion.
“This is the largest military support package that Sweden has given Ukraine since the large -scale invasion broke out,” said Sweden Minister of Defense, Pal Jonson, this Thursday before the media, according to the Public Radio SVT.
Until now, Sweden had donated military equipment of the stores of their armed forces, but on this occasion the majority of the material that will be delivered to kyiv will be new production by the Swedish military industry.
This new assistance round also includes “long -term” investments in the defense of Ukraine, according to Jonson. However, unlike in previous ads, the Swedish authorities have not specified the material that will be supplied to kyiv.
With this new millionaire aid, Sweden will raise more than 50,000 million Swedish crowns (more than 4.3 billion euros) their military support to Ukraine from the outbreak of the war, initiated at the end of February 2022 after the president’s invasion order Russian, Vladimir Putin.
