LEGO kept its word and revealed a big surprise for Nintendo fans. Within the framework of Mario Day, the company confirmed that it will launch products from another popular franchise of the Japanese company: donkey kong.
The company presented the figure of the popular gorilla that, apparently, will be part of the line of Super Mario Bros. Likewise, LEGO revealed an expansion for Bowser’s Castle, a set that debuted a long time ago and that left fans very happy.

A LEGO Donkey Kong figure and more are on the way
LEGO gave us our first look at the Donkey Kong figure, but didn’t reveal many details about its release. For now we know that it will be available during the summer of this year; however, it is unclear if he will debut in isolation or have a special set just like Mario.
“The LEGO Super Mario universe is about to grow even bigger with more adventures, exciting characters and new worlds. Stay tuned for more details in the near future,” the company stated.
The image of the figure does not make it entirely clear if it will have interactive elements like those of Mario, so we will have to wait to find out more about it. For now we know that it will have space in its back to carry Mario or any other LEGO figure.
On the other hand, an expansion for the Bowser’s Castle set was revealed that will be available on August 1. The Dry Bowser Castle Battle Expansion Set adds a new entrance to the castle that looks like Bowser’s jaw, a mechanism for rescuing a Toad and taking down the dangerous Dry Bowser.
