Thus, he stressed that this situation also represents a danger for the medicines stored in refrigerators “due to the lack of fuel necessary to operate the generator that powers the oxygen station”, which is why he has asked the international community to “intervene.” quickly” to distribute fuel, electrical generators and spare parts necessary for the maintenance of these facilities in Gaza.

Israel launched its offensive against the Gaza Strip in response to the attacks carried out on October 7 by the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) and other Palestinian factions, which left some 1,200 dead and 240 kidnapped. Since then, the Gaza Ministry of Health has reported the deaths of more than 37,100 Palestinians, in addition to more than 520 in the West Bank and East Jerusalem at the hands of Israeli forces or in attacks by settlers.
