Since August, various aeronautical unions have been on strike at Argentine airports demanding salary increases, in a context of high inflation. They denounce an 80% salary arrears, while the Government of Javier Milei offers 11% increases for employees in the sector. The strikes forced the cancellation of hundreds of flights and around 40,000 passengers were affected. The Executive is already negotiating with foreign companies the transfer of the operation of Aerolíneas Argentinas, while the idea of selling it, an obsession of the president, is being revived.
