Street Fighter 6 will have classic outfits for various characters
The Japanese company took advantage of its panel to announce that Street Fighter 6 will offer the ability to dress various characters in their outfits that made them popular in titles of yesteryear.
Precisely, the classic outfits of Ryu, Chun-Li and Guile were revealed, thanks to which players will be able to see them in their classic costumes. It is important to mention that the changes are mainly in outfits, without changing the faces, but Ryu is the exception, since he can be seen without a beard. In accordance with IGNChun-Li will even be able to do her classic taunt or gesture that has hit detection.
Another detail to take into account is that so far only the classic outfits of these 3 characters have been confirmed, so it is not known if other fighters will also receive this treatment.

Street Fighter 6 will have alternate costumes
However, what is known is that there will be alternate costumes for other characters, something that was sincerely seen coming.
Luke and Jamie are perhaps recent characters, so it doesn’t make much sense for them to have classic outfits; however, that’s not to say they won’t have alternate costumes.
We say this because Capcom has also confirmed that other characters will have differently themed alternate costumes, such as Luke and Jamie’s, reflecting the street style of Metro City.
So far Capcom has not revealed how these alternate outfits can be unlocked.
