Since its reveal in June this year, Street Fighter 6 it thrilled the community with its impressive visuals and combat mechanics. While we’ll have to wait until 2023 to get in the ring and fight alongside Ryu and Chun-Li, some very lucky fans will be able to play this week thanks to a Closed Beta. Unfortunately, there are those who take advantage of this hype to do questionable business.

Players who wished to participate in the trial period had to send the corresponding request. If they were lucky enough, they received an email confirming their pass a few days ago. As expected, dozens of fans were left wanting to play because they didn’t get their code.

Resellers offer codes for the Street Fighter 6 Beta

With so much excitement surrounding Capcom’s title, the absence of more codes to participate in this weekend’s Closed Beta is disappointing for a large section of the fanbase. At the time of this writing, it is unknown if there will be another trial period in the foreseeable future.

Neither short nor lazy, the resellers began to do their thing and it is already possible to find codes for the trial period of Street Fighter 6 at absurd prices in digital stores like eBay.

In the last couple of days, some members of the community made it known that they found access keys for the game’s Beta for sale on Steam and other platforms. A user of the Facebook group FGC Saltpostingfor example, evidenced this situation with a screenshot where we see that multiple merchants offer codes at exorbitant prices.

Visiting eBay, we noticed that the codes for Street Fighter 6 that are currently up for auction cost between $986.74 MXN and $36,247.21 MXN. Beyond these crazy prices, it is important to emphasize that it is not recommended to buy keys in second-hand markets due to the inherent risks such as scams or possible bans.

If your request to participate was accepted, you should know that the Closed Beta of Street Fighter 6 It will open its doors next October 7 and will remain active until the 10th of the same month. The available fighters will be Ryu, Chun-Li, Luke, Jamie, Guile, Kimberly, Juri and Ken.
