In January of this year, Steam broke its all-time record, exceeding 29 million users simultaneously, but now this figure has been left behind, and Valve’s game and distribution platform has broken its own record by exceeding 30 million users for the first time in its history.
As stated in the project numbers Steam DBthe platform has achieved a peak of users connected at the same time of no more and no less than 30,032,005 users, exceeding the figure of 30 million and showing that they continue to be the absolute kings in the game distribution platform market, with numbers that do not stop growing year after year.
If we compare with their main competitor, the Epic Games Store, at least during the last year they did not manage to go from 13.2 million concurrent users despite the aggressive game giveaway promotions they run on a regular basis. Naturally, we must bear in mind that Steam has been on the market for many more years and its catalog of titles is greater. Who knows how the figures will be distributed in the not too distant future, but for now, the new record of more than 30 million users connected at the same time makes it clear that Steam remains the queen of PC gaming platforms in the world.
