Bad times for Streaming service customers. If Netflix started by limiting the sharing of their accounts (something they previously promoted) and their latest moves meant the removal of the cheapest ad-free plan, other services like Youtube Premium and Youtube Music also raised their rates.
Now it is the turn of Spotify Premium, which has already announced a price rise for your individual, Duo, Family rates and even the promotion for students.
Although the price increase in the US will be 1 dollar, in Spain said increase will be 1 euro in the case of the Individual and Student plans, and 2 euros for the Duo and Family plans (which had already risen in price previously). Nails increases that reach 20% in the highest case corresponding to the Student rate.
In this way, the individual rate of Spotify Premium rises to 10.99 euros, the Duo to 14.99 euros and the Family to 17.99 euros. On the other hand, the student rate remains at 5.99 euros.
The rise has been applied in more than 50 countries, while Spotify alleges that the reason is none other than “to help them continue to provide value to artists and fans of the platform.”
