Spotify passes the milestone of 500 million users

One of the best quarters amid layoffs

Spotify posted some of the biggest numbers in its history in a difficult quarter for its employees. At the end of February, the company announced that it would lay off 6% of its workforce, that is, almost 600 employees.

On the other hand, the company also announced the cancellation of a couple of projects. One of them was Spotify Live, a live, Clubhouse-style social audio sharing platform. The second canceled project was the music game Heardle.
