Spotify launches a new widget for the iOS lock screen

A while ago, with the release of iOS 16, support for lock screen widgets was coming to iOSsomething that allows us to customize the presence of our terminal even when it is not unlocked, also providing us with the possibility of placing information to access without unlocking it.

Now, Spotify has announced a new widget whose home will be the lock screen of Apple terminals, which will allow us to open the application directly from the lock screen, without having to search for it on our home screen, basically as a shortcut.

The utility of this widget does not go beyond speeding up the process of opening the application, so for many users this will seem unnecessary. However, when we are in a car, for example, It is appreciated being able to quickly go to the application so as not to be too distracted –balancing the experience with the touch screens present in the same cars.

It is possible that more widgets of this style will be released in the futurebut for now, Spotify has only released this one in the form of a shortcut to be able to make it faster and more practical to access our favorite songs and podcasts.
