‘Spontaneous Stories’ from Instagram allows you to share photos taken with both mobile cameras, as in BeReal

21 Apr. (Portaltic/EP) –

instagram has introduced a new feature called ‘Spontaneous Stories’, which proposes the same procedure as the BeReal social network, in which users must upload a photo taken with the front and rear cameras simultaneously after receiving a notification.

The stories of Instagram are presented as “a quick and easy way to share moments and experiences” that allows you to share text, music, ‘stickers’ and GIFs with registered users as ‘followers’ on the platform.

These images or videos have a duration of 24 hours, are placed at the top of the interface of the social network and can be hidden from the desired contacts -through the privacy settings- as well as Look at the account profile.

The company is now preparing a functionality similar to that which characterizes BeReal, another social network that seeks the authenticity of photographs and which has a daily alert system. After receiving the notification, users have a limited time to upload an image captured from both the main and selfie cameras.

Instagram has taken this feature as a reference for its ‘Spontaneous Stories’a tool that some users have already been able to try, as has been advanced by the analyst and consultant of social networks Matt Navarra, who has echoed what was shared by the journalist Diego Poggi.

TO via Twitter, has shared a screenshot of the notification that indicates to users of the social network that it is possible to use this functionality, which is presented as “a new way to see random moments of daily life” from other contacts.

After receiving the alert from Instagram, users will have five minutes to make a capture “in time” of what they are doingboth with the rear and front cameras.

So that other users can consult this snapshot, they must share theirs. Regarding their duration, the spontaneous stories will remain in the user’s profile until the notification they receive the next day.

In addition, users will be able to consult their own from the main interface, through a tab called ‘Spontaneous’, which differentiates them from the usual stories on the platform.
