The Aena airport network plans to operate a total of 33,191 flights in the second phase of the Easter Week operation, between this Wednesday and Monday, April 10, exceeding the figures for 2022 and bordering on the pre-pandemic numbers, according to the data provided. to Europa Press for the airport manager.

Sunday, April 9, will be the day with the highest number of scheduled operations, with a total of 5,775 scheduled flights, followed by Saturday, when 5,683 operations are expected, and Thursday, when 5,568 movements will be carried out. The quietest day will be this Wednesday, April 5, when 5,283 flights will be made.

In the pre-pandemic period, the day with the most flights was April 21 with 6,136 movements, the penultimate day of the bridge, while April 19 was the day with the fewest operations, 5,495.

The three airports with the most operations during these days will be Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas, Barcelona-El Prat and Palma de Mallorca, although without reaching 2019 figures. Madrid is at the forefront of air movements with 5,864 operations, with the last day of Easter being the day with the most operations, up to 1,014.


As for the other two airports, Barcelona El Prat will operate 5,282 movements scheduled for these three days, while Palma de Mallorca will schedule a total of 3,825 operations.
