Focus Entertainment and Konami are celebrating thanks to their latest releases. The first celebration that Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 has reached the 4.5 million players five weeks after its arrival in stores, while the second announces that the remake of Silent Hill 2 has managed to ship between digital sales and physical distribution more than a million copies in three days.

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine II went on sale on September 9 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and PC, and one day after its launch it had already surpassed the 2 million players. On the first day on Steam the title registered more than 225,000 simultaneous players, while in terms of sales in Europe this Warhammer installment is the fastest-selling in history. After just over a month in stores, the game developed by Saber Interactive reaches 4.5 million players. Considering that Space Marine II is not part of any subscription service, players are sold copies.

For Focus Entertainment and Saber Interactive the launch of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine II is the beginning. The game has a post-launch content plan ahead that includes the delivery through updates of new modes, PvP maps, PvE operations, weapons, features and enemies. In addition, there is a season pass that expands the options when it comes to customizing the character on an aesthetic level. Content updates and cosmetics will be delivered throughout the seasons.

For those interested, an update for Space Marine II was released today that includes a new operation on the planet Kadaku, Lethal difficulty for operations and gameplay adjustments.

The journey of remake from Silent Hill 2 is much shorter. The title went on sale on October 11 for PlayStation 5 and PC through Steam, reached one million copies on October 14 and will not receive additional content of any kind except a capital surprise. Konami and the Bloober Team development team can only wait for the game to continue selling units over time, and perhaps expand horizons with a version for Xbox Series and the next Nintendo console when the console exclusivity ends with PS5, which in principle is of one year.
