September 18 (EUROPA PRESS) –
South Korea’s military on Wednesday detected the launch of several short-range ballistic missiles from North Korean territory towards the Sea of Japan, the second such test carried out by Pyongyang in a week, after two months without doing so.
This was announced by the South Korean Joint Chiefs of Staff, which has not yet provided further details, according to the Yonhap news agency.
South Korean military authorities detected multiple launches of short-range ballistic missiles in the same direction as this new test last Thursday. Just one day later, North Korean leader Kim Jong Un visited a nuclear weapons production facility, where he called for continued work to increase the country’s atomic arsenal.
