June 28 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The South Korean government announced on Friday the ban on the export of another 243 products to Russia and Belarus that could potentially be used for military purposes, in response to the recent collaboration agreement between Moscow and Pyongyang.
Thus, there are already 1,400 items banned since the invasion of Ukraine by the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy, which on this occasion has included in its ‘blacklist’ equipment for cutting metals, parts of optical instruments and sensors, among others, reports the Yonhap news agency.
The decision affecting this new list of products is expected to come into force at the end of August, by which time the authorities hope to have all the legislation and permits in place.
However, the South Korean Government reserves the right to analyze on a case-by-case basis, particularly for trade agreements that were reached before the announcement of this ban.
