Aug. 15 (EUROPA PRESS) –
South African Finance Minister Enoch Godongwana has denied accusations against him over an alleged case of sexual harassment, after the media published that he had overstepped an employee of the Kruger National Park, in the province of Mpumalanga.
Through his spokesman, Mfuneko Toyana, Godongwana has “categorically” denied these accusations, which, he explained, have no basis since at the time of the alleged case, the minister’s wife was in the room.
Toyana has indicated that the minister has not received any formal complaint or any type of communication from the Police, so from now on “he will refrain from making any further comments” until he considers otherwise, reports the South African news portal EWN.
According to the complaint, Godongwana would have gone too far with an employee of the massage service offered by the park. The provincial Police has opened an investigation into a “prominent person”, preferring not to offer names or further details.
