We recently talked about a rumor that would put the development of a new portable console in the hands of Sony, which, although it would be a spiritual successor to the PSP and PS Vitait would come with a different approach that was originally thought to be exclusive to Remote Play.
However, as we can read in The Verge, It seems that there is another parallel rumor related to cloud gamingand indirectly, with this unknown console of which we only know the code name, called Q Lite. The origin of the rumor would have to do with some job offers published by Sony.
Between them, there is the search for personnel who will be dedicated mainly to leading a team of game developers in the cloud, so that the participants of the FTG (Future Technologies Group) will be able to put the highest quality at the level of video games on any device, something that we already find in places like GeForce NOW.
It should be noted that the FTG is currently engaged in R&D for virtual reality, controllers for consoles, and even some software features in games, but this would not stop attempts to revive Sony’s cloud gaming project, previously known as PlayStation Now.
