March 29 (Portaltic/EP) –
sony has presented the new vblog camera ZV-E1 with interchangeable lens and ‘full frame’ sensor for 4K recording, which uses artificial intelligence (AI) to improve framing and maintain autofocus.
ZV-E1 features a back-illuminated Exmor R CMOS sensor with about 12.1 effective megapixels, and a engine of BIONZ XR imagingwhich offers up to eight times more processing power than previous models and helps improve autofocus speed and accuracy.
Allows recording on ‘full frame’ format with 4K quality (QFHD) from 10-bit 4:2:2, at 60p or 120p (the latter with a free ‘firmware’ update). The standard ISO range is from 80 to 102400 for both photography and video. The extended range for photos is from 40 to 409600, and the extended range for video is from 80 to 409600.
For content creators, it has the Cinematic Vlog settingswhich let you choose the look and feel of your scenes, as well as the autofocus transition speed and aspect ratio (Cinemascope).
ZV-E1 also has with S-Cinetonea feature based on Sony Cinema Line technology that produces natural mid tones essential for reproducing healthy-looking skin tones for cinematic quality.
The camera employs a unit of artificial intelligence processing for the recognition of auto focus in real time on a moving subject. This technology, as detailed by Sony, can even differentiate between several subjects with different postures and recognize faces individually, and has expanded the recognition capacity, which now also includes subjects such as birds, insects and vehicles such as cars, trains and planes.
In addition, it has a unit of compact and precise stabilization, and gyro sensors with optimized algorithms that reach up to five steps of stabilization, which detect and correct for camera movement in five axes. Sony also highlights AI-based video autoframing and the use of a framing stabilizer that automatically maintains the position of the subject in the frame.
When it comes to audio, the ZV-E1 has a three-capsule microphone with variable directionality that can pick up clear audio outdoors in situations where wind and ambient noise can be a problem. It also includes the Multi Interface (MI) shoe with digital audio interface and offers microphone and headphone jacks to expand audio capabilities.
As it is a camera designed for the creation of content for social networks, its design is designed to “easy and intuitive” use, mobile and resistant to humidity and dust, as they point from Sony. It includes an LCD screen, Sony Z High Capacity Battery with fast charging and a wireless remote control recording grip for one-handed use.
The company has indicated that the new ZV-E1 will be available in April in different authorized distributors, for an estimated price from 2,700 euros (only the body).
