Somus is launched, a new app that connects celebrities for philanthropic purposes

In an interview, the actress Ana de la Reguera, who is an investor and director of Somus, comments that as founder of the VeracruzANA charity organization, she recognizes the work that goes into starting an organization of this type, as well as managing to raise funds to help different causes. “I have been in the world of philanthropy for more than years and that is why I am at Somus, because it is a much simpler tool where we have already done the homework for our audience, our followers,” he commented.

How does the app work?

The public figure opens a profile on the platform, in which they share exclusive content, accessible by their fans through a monthly subscription at a price determined by the figure. According to the common subscription profits, at least 50% is donated to good causes such as access to education, gender equality or the fight against childhood cancer. The percentage is determined by the figure, being possible to donate up to 100%.

“You can choose which foundation you want to support, which celebrity you want to follow, and you know that by seeing that special content from the people you admire, you can immediately help women, children, and organizations not only in Mexico, but around the world,” explains Ana de the Reguera.
