Whoever buys an Apple product tends to expect an outstanding level in terms of quality and features, although this is not always the case. Some devices may have problems. The good news is that the Cupertino company usually responds to these types of scenarios with repair programs whose cost is zero for users.
We have seen it in recent years with the failures in the logic board of the iPhone 8 sold in some territorieswith the “black” screens of a certain number of 2019 iPad Airs and with screen backlight problems on certain 13-inch MacBook Pros. The most recent problem affects some iPhone 14.
Repair program for iPhone 14 Plus
Apple it says on their support page that “the rear camera of a very small percentage of devices iPhone 14 Plus may not show a preview.” Of course, having a device costing more than 1,000 euros and not being able to use it normally is not very encouraging, but the problem should be able to be solved without any expense.
The Cupertino company says that if any of its customers’ devices have this problem, they will repair them for free. It should be noted that this program only reaches the iPhone 14 Plus manufactured in a very specific date range: between April 10, 2023 and April 28, 2024.
If you believe your iPhone meets the requirements, the first step to access a free repair is to start the service process by entering the serial number of the device on the Apple support page. The next step will be to arrange the repair through a service provider, an Apple Store, or an Apple Repair Center.
In this type of situation it is important to take into account some other details. The repair program is valid for three years after the first retail sale of the device. And, if you’ve paid for a repair, you can contact Apple for a refund.
