According to figures from Single National Transit Registry (Runt) and calculations of let’s go, So far in 2022, in the country, 732,601 vehicle transfers were made, a variation of 6.6% compared to 2021, when 687,465 had been registered.

In August, the total transfers were 107,158. Cars recorded 62,444 operations (-0.5%), followed by utilities, with 23,760 units (3.1%); commercial cargo less than 10.5 tons, with 6,629 vehicles (-2.8%); Pick Up, with 6,239 (-4.9%); and taxis, with 3,583 units (21.7%).
This dynamic turned the eighth month of 2022 into andhe best August in history in terms of vehicle transfers, as reported.

The segment that grew the most during the month was commercial passengers, with 1,477 and a variation of 44%. Also striking is the behavior of the segment of taxi, which, during August, presented a growth of 21.7% in transfers and 37.1% in registrations.
According to Oliverio García, president of Andemos, “the dynamics of transfers in August shows a performance in accordance with the registration of vehicles with zero kilometers. However, the vehicles that are being transferred are of an average year of 2004, that is, an average age of 18 years.”.

“Therefore, a public policy is necessary to improve the rotation of the vehicle fleet to reduce the average age of our fleet for the benefit of the environment and road safety.”, he added.
By cities, Bogota recorded 37,546 (0%) transfers, followed by calli, with 8,114 (-6%); Envigado, with 6,769 (-2%); Medellin, with 6,078 (7%); Y sabaneta, with 3,048 (15%).
