29 Aug. (Portaltic/EP) –
Snapchat has announced the launch of Dual Camera or double cameraa new feature that allows its users to capture content from the front and rear lenses simultaneously.
The social network announced this new feature earlier this year as part of its director modeas recalled in a press release sent to Europa Press.
Now, Snapchat has deployed dualcamera, which is located in the center of the toolbar inside the main camera of the ‘app’. It will also be present within the Director Mode along with other tools, such as ‘Green Screen’, ‘Camera Speed’ and ‘Jump Cut’whose releases are scheduled for the coming months.
Users can use this dual camera to create all kinds of content on Snapchat, including quick shots for their Snaps and Stories or more polished Spotlight videos.
To do this, Snapchat allows you to select one of its layouts, such as portrait, landscape, picture-in-picture and crop. In addition, the user still has access to more traditional tools, such as music, ‘stickers’ and lenses.
Dual Camera is now available globally on iOS devices from iPhone XS and XR onwards. On the other hand, this new feature will come to Android in the coming months.
THE SIMULTANEOUS USE OF THE TWO LENSES, ON THE RISE
With Dual Camera, Snapchat joins other social networks that revolve around photography, such as BeReal and Instagram. Precisely, the main function of the French ‘app’ consists of the user uploading a daily photo from two perspectives: those of its front and rear lens.
At the end of last July, Instagram followed in the footsteps of BeReal and launched the Dual functionality, which allows you to take both photos and videos from the front and rear lenses of a mobile device simultaneously.
