These statements by Blanar come hours after Fico was transferred by helicopter from the Roosevelt Hospital in Banska Bystrica, where he had been admitted since the event, to his private residence in Bratislava, where he will continue his recovery.

On May 15, Fico was taken to the FD Roosevelt Hospital after being shot several times on the way out of a government meeting in Handlova by an individual identified as Juraj Cintula, 71, in preventive detention since then and accused of attempted murder. .
