What does Sky offer?
Like Izzi, Sky offers a variety of services, we will focus on those that have prepaid television channels plus internet service from Blue Telecom. According to the company’s website, they are the following:
- 5 megabytes per second (mbps) and 72 video channels, 11 pay-per-view channels and 60 audio/music content from 445 pesos per month for one device. The cost for the same services but for two devices increases to 475 pesos.
- 10 Mbps for one device with 72 video channels, 11 pay-per-view channels and 60 audio/musical content from 520 pesos. If you want to increase this to two devices, the cost starts at 570 pesos.
It is worth noting that on its website, Sky specifies that these prices are for regular packages without access to recording content. In addition, in each case you have to pay 256 pesos for the installation. Sky’s rates can vary more, since it gives the possibility of putting together combos depending on what is added to them, such as the recording service, for example, prices fluctuate.
Humberto Suárez, a Sky user, says that he signed up for the service because of the sports content available. Although he says he is happy with what he receives in exchange for his payment, what he doesn’t like about Sky is the customer service.
“The waiting time to be served is very long. I have experienced that they are rude or that when they direct you to other service areas, the call is cut off and you have to go through the whole process again,” he commented.
Conclusions
As always, the convenience of the service depends on the user and their needs.
Of course, Sky’s strong point is its television service and it constantly promotes its broadcasts of sporting events. One weak point – which is even reflected in the most frequently searched questions about the company on Google – is why it doesn’t have a signal.
In the case of Izzi, one advantage that some users might see is that it offers telephone services in its packages; however, in 2023, Speed Test did not position the company in the top three companies with the fastest internet in Mexico, above which were Totalplay, Megacable and Telmex.
