With the increasing demand for memory high bandwidthalso known as HBMmanufacturers try to offer solutions that stand out about the rest. In this way they have something to offer the manufacturers of accelerator GPUs, who are the main consumers of this type of memory. SK Hynixleader in offering this type of memory, has been allied with TSMC to offer improvements in this type of memory, some improvements which seems to arrive with the HBM4E.

SK Hynix wants include a memory controller with HBM4E that will allow us to offer new capabilities with this type of memory. This would allow the HBM4E memory to perform network compute, cache, and memory functions directly in the same package. In this way, everything will be unified and will offer fastersince there is less distance between the components, while at the same time energy consumption is reduced.

The manufacturer continues to move forward to offer solutions that stand out among the rest. In full memory production HBM3Ework is already underway to offer a next generation of memory with improvements for demand in AI.
