Does SIE Santa Monica confirm the development of a new sci-fi IP?
Something very interesting is that Cory Barlog, one of the main creatives of god of warwho gave up directing the last game in the series ostensibly to work on this new, undisclosed project.
Alanah Pearce, a content creator who joined SIE Santa Monica Studio in 2020, would also be working on this new project, although she had never revealed what she has been working on… until now.
On the most recent broadcast of the Play, Watch, Listen podcast, while discussing the benefits of the Apple Vision Pro, game designer Mike Bithell mentioned that he was working on “writing an unspecified sci-fi franchise.”

The interesting thing is that right after Pearce simply commented with “equals”. This is the first time the developer has spoken remotely about what she’s doing at SIE Santa Monica Studio beyond her involvement as a writer, and it seems to confirm rumors about the studio’s new sci-fi franchise.
Let’s remember that SIE Santa Monica Studio worked on Internal-7an all-new sci-fi franchise in conjunction with god of war (2018), but unfortunately the project did not come to fruition and was suspended, which led to the massive dismissal of developers.
