Sfera, the fashion and accessories brand of El Corte Inglés, will remain in 2023 as the group’s own brand with the greatest international presence, as it is currently present in 17 countries.
Specifically, the brand, El Corte Inglés’ flagship abroad, closed 2023 with a total of 524 points of sale, which is 34 more spaces than in 2022, of which 166 are its own stores, 287 franchises and 71 corners (69 in Spain and two in Portugal), according to the group’s annual report, reported by Europa Press.
As for its own stores, Mexico already has 55 establishments of the fashion brand, while under a franchise system, Sfera has a presence in Switzerland, with 53 points of sale; in Thailand, with 43; and in Ireland, with 22, among other markets.
In Latin America, where the fashion brand has a wide presence, Chile stands out with 62 franchises; Peru with 45; El Salvador with 13; and Guatemala with 10. It is also present in Paraguay, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama.
In addition, there are a number of franchises that are present in Middle Eastern countries such as the United Arab Emirates and Qatar, while last year Sfera ceased its activity in Greece, where in 2022 it had three of its own stores.
In this way, the national distribution giant maintains its commitment to the internationalization of its own brands, which are currently present in more than 30 countries after forming alliances with strategic partners in each country.
The firm headed by Marta Álvarez continues to strengthen its international positioning, incorporating more references and new categories in the home area, which are added to those already existing in fashion and food.
