Several strong explosions shake the city of Lugansk

Several high-powered explosions rocked the Russian-controlled city of Lugansk in eastern Ukraine on Sunday, Russian media reported.

One of the explosions occurred in the south of the city and later several more detonations were heard in the center of the town, according to the Russian news agency TASS. “The most powerful explosion occurred at 10:07 p.m. It shook the windows of my apartment,” a TASS correspondent explained.

The Lugansk LCI news agency has published an image of a column of smoke in the city on its Telegram channel and has assured that the anti-aircraft defenses have shot down several projectiles.

“Ukrainian troops have tried to attack the outskirts of Lugansk,” said a spokesman for the Lugansk Department of the Interior, Vitali Kiselev, on his Telegram account.
