March 5 () –
Several people have been injured and others may have been trapped when a six-story building collapsed on Sunday after giving in to damage caused to its structure by last month’s catastrophic earthquake in southern Turkey.
The event took place in the city of Sanliurfa, the official Turkish news agency, Anadolu, has reported. In the place there are multiple rescue units that have asked the population for silence to better locate the possible trapped.
In addition, the emergency services assess the damage on a nearby road, where the building ended up collapsing.
This same Sunday, the Ministry of Infrastructures has estimated some 220,000 buildings damaged by the earthquakes, and ordered their urgent demolition.
