Seven killed in a vehicle tank explosion in Pakistan

July 8 (EUROPA PRESS) –

At least seven people have died and 14 more have been injured this Saturday by the explosion of a fuel tank of a vehicle near the Bhalwal Public University of Commerce in Punjab, authorities have reported.

The emergency services have explained that among the injured there are seven serious ones who have been transferred to the Bhalwal Tehsil Hospital, reports the Pakistani newspaper ‘Dawn’ in its digital edition.

Among the injured there are two minors, one four and one twelve years old, while the rest are around 50 years old. The corpses have been transferred to a hospital, since five of them have not yet been able to be identified.

The first notice was received at 8:35 a.m. on Saturday morning, so nine ambulances, three fire trucks and a rescue vehicle were sent to the area. The notice warned of a fire due to a leak from a liquefied natural gas tank.

Five other people, including three minors, died last month in three gas explosions that occurred in different parts of the country.
