The Ukrainian authorities have detained near the city of Dnipro seven people who allegedly collaborated with the Russian intelligence services, to whom they would have given information regarding positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
The Prosecutor’s Office suspects that these people initially reported to the leader of a pro-Russian group, to whom they provided information on critical infrastructure in Dnipro that was subsequently attacked, according to official sources quoted by the UNIAN agency.
They would also have sent images and information regarding the activities and locations of the Ukrainian forces, the Prosecutor’s Office explained.
The seven people arrested are now accused of treason and remain in pretrial detention, waiting for the investigations to progress and the start of a possible trial against them.
