Dec. 29 () –
The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, has ordered the lowering of the alert level of the Armed Forces, which had been ready for combat since Monday, after measures have been taken in recent hours to reduce tensions in the northern part of Serbia. Kosovo.
The Presidency has confirmed this new provision to the Tanjug agency, which comes just a few hours after Vucic announced the removal of the barricades. Sources cited by this same agency have confirmed on Thursday the start of the lifting of the blockades imposed by the Serb community.
The blockades began on December 10, following a mobilization to protest the arrest of a former police officer. The Kosovar authorities authorized on Wednesday that this former agent could go under house arrest, in the framework of crossed gestures by both parties.
