() — Artist Selena Gomez said her new documentary, called “Selena Gomez: My Mind & Me,” has changed her view of her body image.

Gómez said the documentary was “healing.”

“In a weird way, I feel like it’s a time capsule of things, a period of my life where I look back and really feel bad seeing that version of myself,” Gomez told Entertainment Tonight. “I think it was good for me to see how I responded to my body, the way I acted and the way I was so irrational at times, and I think it was really healing for me to see that and bring it out.”

When asked if she would have any advice if she could talk to her younger self, Gomez said she would tell her to take a break when she needed to.

“I think my advice is don’t be afraid. In fact, I was never afraid to tell people that I wanted to take some time for myself. I never thought that was a bad thing,” she said. “So to say, ‘Hey, I’m going to take a break because I need to,’ is being honest and I think that’s who I am.”

The documentary addresses Gomez’s health and personal life, along with her online mental health platform, Wondermind.

Gomez is also currently starring on Hulu’s “Only Murders in the Building.”
