Through resolution 1332 of 2024, the control entity gave the green light to this opening, with which Segura Bank may carry out promotional events in the country for four of its services. As described in the document, these include:

– Dollar savings account: allows businesses and individuals to save money to meet their financial goals. The account earns interest if the required minimum balance is met and this interest is credited to the account on a monthly basis.

– Money market account: It is an alternative for those companies and individuals who wish to keep their money at a higher return than a traditional savings account.

– Current account: allows businesses and individuals to manage their money on a daily basis, the account is for transactional purposes and allows payments to be made and deposits to be received to and from anywhere in the world. However, this option does not recognize interest.

– Term certificates of deposit: It is a dollar-denominated savings instrument that allows companies and individuals to earn interest on their money by depositing it for a fixed period of time. It maximizes the potential for saving.

The Superintendency of Finance’s resolution also states that Segura Bank International Corp. may only begin operating in Colombia until its legal representative takes office at the entity.

Segura Bank International Corp is an entity based in San Juan (Puerto Rico) that offers financial solutions to both individuals and companies. Its current CEO is Juan Zambrano García and it has an alliance with banking software company Temenos.
