Jonathan Malagón, president of Asobancaria, a union that brings together Colombian banks and financial institutions, made some recommendations so that the clients of the system take care of their different products during the days of Holy Weekwhen many citizens travel to different cities or abroad and consumption rises.
He says that customers should never lose sight of their debit or credit cards in the shops or restaurants where they make purchases and that in such a case, it is necessary to go directly to the cash register and not hand the plastic over to a waiter or an assistant.

He recommends that if the customer is going to make a transaction at an ATM, they should never accept the help of a stranger.
Warns that you should periodically change the key of the card and not use the date of the birthday or the year of birth for that purpose.

Security specialists also recommend having a double authentication factor when consigning or paying through digital means.
All Banking entities make protection tools available for the security of information and its transactions such as alerts and notifications, first and second password, protected identity (user), limits on transaction values, among others. Make use of them, thus reducing the risk of being a victim of fraud.
It is key to install and keep the antivirus updated, and keep in mind that it must be licensed.

To carry out transactions or inquiries about movements or balances should not connect to public Wi-Fi networks; only to secure wireless networksas this reduces the risk of interception of communication to capture financial information.
Do not download files or install programs from unknown sources; these may contain hidden malicious programs or viruses that may compromise user information.

Not receiving help from strangers at ATMs is key, no one should be allowed to tamper with the cards or lose sight of it; Well, they could change it for another similar one.
