The governor of the Krasnodar region in southwestern Russia, Veniamin Kondratiev, has reported a fire in a train carrying petroleum products as it passes through the town of Volna.
According to a statement published through his Telegram channel, the governor has specified that no injuries have been reported at the moment, in addition to detailing that the fire has been classified as having the highest degree of complexity.
The firefighters of the region are working on the emergency work, as well as the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the emergency services of the area.
It is the second railway incident in southwestern Russia in less than a day, after an explosion on the tracks on Tuesday afternoon caused the derailment of a freight train in the Snezhetskaya-Belie Berega region, without the moment Russia has confirmed the reason for the explosion.
