() – Five new lawsuits against Sean “Diddy” Combs have been filed by men and women who allege they were drugged and sexually assaulted by the embattled music mogul, who now faces more than 30 civil lawsuits.
The lawsuits span from 2001 to 2022 in incidents that allegedly took place in New York, the Hamptons and Miami. Most of the new lawsuits allege that the plaintiffs were sexually assaulted at parties hosted by Combs, with one incident allegedly taking place at the producer’s White Party in 2004. One of the accusers claims in his lawsuit that he was assaulted by Combs and his partners in a casting for a music video.
All accusers introduced themselves anonymously as “Jane Doe” or “John Doe.” The two women claim they were 17 and 18 years old, respectively, when they were allegedly drugged and assaulted by Combs. The three accusing men claim they were drugged and sodomized by Combs.
Combs’ attorneys denied the allegations but did not respond to specific allegations in the lawsuits.
“As his legal team has stated before, Mr. Combs has complete confidence in the facts and the integrity of the judicial process,” his lawyers told . “In court the truth will prevail: that Mr. Combs never sexually assaulted or trafficked anyone, neither men nor women, neither adults nor minors.”
The new lawsuits come from attorney Tony Buzbee, who represents the five new accusers along with attorney Andrew Van Arsdale. Last month, attorneys said at a news conference that they were representing more than 100 plaintiffs with allegations against Combs. To date they have filed 20 lawsuits against Combs.
In a statement on Instagram, Buzbee wrote that he hopes to file new cases against Combs on a weekly basis.
In a statement to , Combs’ lawyers took aim at Buzbee, claiming that his “barrage of lawsuits” are “shameless publicity stunts designed to extract payments from celebrities who fear lies will be spread about them, just as lies have been spread about Mr. Combs.”
This week, Buzbee was sued for extortion by an anonymous celebrity who claims the attorney falsely and maliciously involved him in the allegations against Combs. Buzbee denied the allegations in that lawsuit.
The latest lawsuits against Combs present similar patterns of allegations, including attending or being recruited by Combs’ associates to attend a party or audition, and providing a drink that ultimately caused the plaintiff to feel dizzy or lose consciousness. knowledge before being attacked.
An unknown woman was 17 years old when, she says in the lawsuit, she was assaulted by Combs at his white party on July 4, 2004. In her lawsuit, she claims that she saw many recognizable celebrities at the event, although none of them have been named or accused of crime.
She claims Combs’ staff “demanded” she “hand over her purse and cell phone before entering” the party. After being allegedly drugged and sexually assaulted, Jane Doe claims she was threatened by Combs and his bodyguards, who told her that “she would be in danger if she talked about what happened, saying that he ‘ran New York and would ruin it.’”
Another accuser, who describes himself as an actor in the late 1990s and early 2000s around the time he claims he was sodomized by Combs, said in his lawsuit that he was recruited by one of the directors. Combs’ casting call to audition for a music video in New York in 2001.
According to the lawsuit, Combs told John Doe to “take off his shirt” at the audition and asked him if he was “comfortable with the possibility of doing scenes naked.” John Doe claims that the casting director offered him an alcoholic drink, but he declined and handed him a Diet Coke in a glass. He believes the soda contained drugs because he “blacked out” and then woke up “semiconscious and disoriented,” realizing that they had “pulled his pants down to his ankles and pulled his shirt over his head.”
John Doe details in the lawsuit how he was sexually assaulted by both Combs and his bodyguard and sought medical attention for injuries he suffered during the alleged incident.
Combs is currently incarcerated at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, New York, awaiting trial set for spring 2025 on charges of racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking, and transportation for prostitution. He has pleaded not guilty.
Prosecutors have said they are continuing their grand jury investigation, and could potentially replace the indictment with additional or higher charges. This Friday, Combs’ lawyers will make a third attempt to obtain bail, after two previous requests were denied.
