Scopery acquires Niantic games – Scopely

Scopely has announced the acquisition of Niantic’s video game business, which includes titles such as Pokémon Go and Pikmin Bloom and development teams, in an agreement valued at 3.5 billion dollars (about 3,215 million euros).
The Niantic video game business has 30 million monthly active players and last year registered more than one billion dollars in revenue. When joining the Scopey portfolio, he will create one of the largest communities, which brought together 500 million players in 2024.
These figures support the acquisition that Scopey has just announced, head of titles such as Monopoly Go! and Marvel Strike Force, among others. They will join the Niantic games, which include Pokémon Go, Monster Hunter Now and Pikmin Bloom, the Campfire and WayFarer services, and development teams.
As reported in a Press notethe agreement has been assessed at 3.5 billion dollars, and leaves out the games of Issues Prime and Peridot. Once the acquisition is closed, Niantic will become Niantic Spatial, an independent entity that will develop geospatial artificial intelligence.
The mobile video game firm was acquired two years ago by Savvy Games, which is part of the Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia.
