He reminds Del Pino that “a good part” of the company’s fortune “has been made thanks to Spain”

The President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, has warned the President of Ferrovial, Rafael del Pino, that “the homeland is not just about making assets, it is being supportive, pitching in, and helping, above all, when your country needs you”. on the occasion of the announcement of the change of the registered office of the Spanish company to the Netherlands.
Likewise, the Executive has reminded Del Pino that “a good part” of Ferrovial’s fortune “has been made thanks to Spain”, taking into account that the Del Pino family is “the third or fourth” fortune in the country.
In this sense, Sánchez explained that the progress of the company is not related to legal guarantees, “which exist because in all international indices Spain, both from the OECD and from the most prestigious in the world, place the country as one of the safest places to invest and the data is there”.
Thus, Sánchez has made reference to the fact that foreign investment in Spain, until November 2022, increased by more than 20,000 million euros, which reflects, from the point of view of legal certainty, “that Spain is one of the best countries in the world to be able to invest and develop economic activity”.
In an appearance before the media together with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Finland, Sanna Marin, from the House of States (Helsinki), Sánchez defended the Government’s commitment to compete in the world through “tax justice “, whose base is “a strong Welfare State”.
“COMPETE IN QUALITY AND NOT IN PRECARIOUSNESS”
“We want to compete in quality and not in precariousness. This is what fiscal justice means,” according to Sánchez, who believes that it is nothing more than “those who have more, are the ones who have to contribute more to the public treasury, paying more taxation”. “And this is the debate that is behind what is happening with Mr. Del Pino,” he added.
