Samsung, one of the leading manufacturers of memory chips in the market, has announced the launch of its first GDDR6 memory chips that reach 24 Gbps of bandwidth. These chips are aimed at high-end graphics cards, so they are expected to arrive in the upcoming Nvidia RTX 4000 and AMD Radeon RX 7000.

Manufactured to 10 nanometers with the Samsung 1z process With EUV (Extreme Ultra Violet) technology, we will also see its inclusion in consoles and high-performance systems that use GPU acceleration, whether for data processing, AI or high-performance computing.

According to Samsung, its 24 Gbps GDDR6 modules offer 30% more performance than 18 Gbps chips, being capable of transfer 1.1TB of data in one second.

The company will also launch variants at 20 Gbos and 16 Gbps with a voltage of 1.1v to offer 20% more efficiency in those GPUs more focused on the relationship between consumption and performance.

The 24 Gbps GDDR6 chips, with capacities of 16 Gb per chip, are now available for companies that want to integrate them into their graphics and products, initially in the validation phase for future integration in the new generation GPUs from AMD and NVIDIA that are coming.
