samsung has announced the global launch on Odyssey OLED G9 gaming monitor, which uses an artificial intelligence algorithm to improve the image, on a 49-inch screen with 1800R curvature.
The technology company brought the Odyssey OLED G9 monitor (model G95SC) to the CES 2023 fair in Las Vegas (United States) at the beginning of the year, where it showed its curved screen Quad-HD (5,120 x 1,440) of 49 inches and 1800R, with an aspect ratio of 32:9.
This Monday, the company has confirmed that it will already be globally available for your purchase starting this Monday June 12th. With the Odyssey OLED G9, “we are delighted to offer our customers these powerful gaming monitors and raise the bar for OLED gaming,” said Hoon Chung, executive vice president of Samsung Electronics’ visual display business, in a press release.
Its size and screen ratio offer a view equivalent to two QHD displays side by side. It also gives gamers a competitive edge with a 0.03ms gray-to-gray (GtG) response time and 240Hz refresh rate.
Odyssey OLED G9 incorporates the Neo Quantum Processor Pro chip which, with an algorithm machine learningintelligently analyzes images and automatically upscales to adjust brightness and amplify contrast.
It is also compatible with technologies AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and Display HDR True Black 400, and integrate stereo speakers. On the back is the CoreSync and Core Lighting+, which uses advanced lighting technology to match colors on screen.
The monitor is equipped with Samsung Gaming Hub and with Smart TV apps, and features a Multi View feature that allows you to play on two screens at the same time. It also incorporates several connectivity options, such as HDMI 2.1 and Micro HDMI 2.1, Display Port 1.4 and Auto Source Switch+.
