“As you know, we have focused on fixes and improvements to the game experience in order to release new content. The previous update was a FB-worthy success, and we are ready to bring you a much more special menu in the upcoming May update,” says Volition. “Anyway, what have we been working on since then? Well, we have left our skin in new content for Saints Row […] We have promised you new content for Saints Row for a long time and we are happy to announce that we have DLC expansions coming out in May, July and August of this year.”
Two of the three expansion packs, May and August, will expand the main Saints Row campaign, with new missions set in all new districts of the city that continue the adventures of the Saints and their enemy factions. The third pack will include a new solo experience with “an even more twisted take on one of our favorite areas of Santo Ileso.” The three add-ons can be purchased separately or together through the Expansion Pass that is priced at 29.99 euros.
The expansions will be accompanied by free updates. May’s will add the Sunshine Springs district and will redesign combat, July’s will introduce improvements and new features, while August’s will add another district. On the other hand, Saints Row will receive a free Dead Island 2 cosmetic pack on April 11 that will allow players to dress their character with objects from Jacob and Amy, two of the protagonists of the zombie game.
