Sabadell wants to be an option for users to put their money because, citing data from Condusef, about 55 million people set aside part of their income for savings.
The bank has no plans to launch debit or credit cards for the public, so customers who want returns will have to make a transfer via SPEI.
The account with returns that the bank will offer will be available at any time for users and without a minimum amount.
“With the launch of the Sabadell Savings Account, we seek to position ourselves as the first option for our clients, without requiring them to leave their current bank,” added the manager.
For now, the bank will not seek to offer credit cards or payroll products despite having the banking license that allows it to offer those products.
Until last March, Sabadell had a credit portfolio of 88,697 million pesos.
