A Russian journalist died this Saturday in the Ukrainian region of Donetsk in an enemy attack with drones, the media reported Izvestia for which the reporter worked.
The deceased is Alexandr Martemianovwho had already been injured on another work mission in Donesk in 2023.
Five other journalists, including two employees of the RIA Nóvost agencyi, were injured in the attack.
According to one of them, Maxim Romanenkothe unmanned device attacked the vehicle in which reporters returned to the city of Donetsk after covering the consequences of a Ukrainian bombing of the town of Gorlovka.
“On the road (Donetsk-Gorlovka) our car was attacked by a kamikaze drone“said Romanenko, quoted by his media.
According to the journalist, the scene of the incident was far from the front line.
Previously, Donetsk authorities reported 15 civilians injured in Gorlovka bombingabout 35 kilometers from the regional capital.
