Russian air defenses shoot down 75 Ukrainian drones over seven regions of the country

Russian air defence forces intercepted up to 75 Ukrainian army drones in seven different regions of Russian territory early Saturday morning, Russian authorities said.

The Russian Ministry of Defense has reported via Telegram that “during the night, the Kiev regime attempted to carry out a terrorist attack using unmanned aerial vehicles against facilities on the territory of the Russian Federation.”

In response, the same statement said, “air defense systems on duty have intercepted and destroyed 36 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) over Rostov, eight over Kursk, nine over Belgorod, 17 over Oryol, two over the Ryazan regions, one UAV over the Voronezh region, the Sea of ​​Azov and the Krasnodar Territory.”

These attacks occurred on the same night that the Ukrainian and Russian authorities carried out a new exchange of almost 300 bodies of soldiers killed in combat zones in the framework of the war in Ukraine thanks to the mediation of the International Committee of the Red Cross.

As a result of this exchange, kyiv has recovered the remains of 250 soldiers killed in combat zones in Luhansk, Bakhmut, Mariinka, Avdiivka, Kherson, Zaporizhia, Mariupol and Horlivka, the Ukrainian Headquarters for the Coordination of Prisoners of War Treatment confirmed.

Moscow, for its part, has recovered the bodies of 38 dead soldiers, as confirmed by MP Shamsail Saraliev to the Russian channel RBC.
