Russian air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 50 Ukrainian Army unmanned aerial vehicles over different regions of the country, including the capital, during the early hours of Saturday, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported.
“Tonight the attempts of the kyiv regime to carry out a series of terrorist attacks using unmanned aerial vehicles against targets on the territory of the Russian Federation have been stopped,” reads a ministerial message posted on Telegram.
The Russian authorities have clarified in the same letter that “the air defense systems in service have destroyed and intercepted 50 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles, of which: 26, over the territory of the Belgorod region; ten, over the territory of the Bryansk region; eight – on the territory of the Kursk region; two – on the Tula region and one each on the territories of the Smolensk, Ryazan, Kaluga and Moscow regions.”
Previously, this Saturday, the Belgorod regional authorities had reported the death of two civilians as a result of an attack with Ukrainian drones on the village of Poroz. An attack occurred after at least nine people, including three children, died this Friday due to a “massive attack” by the Russian Army against the Ukrainian province of Dnipro (east), according to the Ukrainian authorities, who have indicated that nearly 30 civilians have been injured.
